Hi, I’m Franci Kopač and this is a portfolio of my projects and a blog.

I’m a technical translator, part-time mad scientist, maker, green tech enthusiast, practical utopian, information sponge, humanist, poorly cured optimist and an ally :)

Priorities

I wanted a simple and efficient way to share my work with others. This is why I use a static website with minimal bells and whistles. Content above all.

Projects

The projects are all homebrew things I did. The goal is to document them and save somebody a bit of work when they set out to do something similar. They are also a portfolio of work – if you need somebody for a project you are doing, this should give you a good idea of what I can do.

My philosophy is “open source is usually better”. The goal is to document enough for a competent person to recreate/modify/improve a project without too much guessing.

Blog

I have opinions. I try to base them on facts. I sometimes write about my opinions and try to present them factually.

General Info

I am not a native speaker of English, but I write this in English for it to be accessible to the widest possible audience. Units will be metric, money in Euros.

I try my best to be respectful of your privacy. This is a static site built using Hugo, that, on it’s own, does not collect any data about you. The only exception to this rule is the Disqus plugin.
